Complement Your Home’s Aesthetic

Your carport shouldn’t feel like an afterthought.

It should fit seamlessly with your existing aesthetic – right down to matched colours and materials.

That could mean an attached port that mirrors your home’s roofing and façade.

Or a freestanding structure that flows naturally into your backyard.

Or a carport that integrates with your front fence and gate, stylishly combining privacy and security.

Our role: to draft your perfect design and bring it to life through exceptional craftsmanship.

The site was a little awkward but they made it all fit in so well!

‘The end result was absolutely awesome. We were especially impressed by the quality of the build and attention to detail. The carport was integrated with an existing fence so cleverly it is like it was always meant to be there.

Thanks especially to Ben for help with approvals, Gareth for getting every little detail right at the planning stage and big shout out to Brendan and his team, who did such a top class job with the build.

The five star reviews here are very well justified. Would happily recommend to anyone.’

Custom Carport Builds Tweed

A carport kit is cheap to buy and quick to install – and looks that way.

It’s the kind of structure that can disrupt an otherwise unified aesthetic, lowering your property’s attractiveness (and market value).

A custom carport is the opposite.

It’s a part of your property in both form and function.

That could be as simple as matched colours and materials – or as sophisticated as features like roof insulation and smart louvres.

Schedule a time for one of our design consultants to visit your Tweed property, talk through your preferences, and put together a fixed-price quote.

Carports With Roller Doors

An open-air carport is ideal for Tweed summers – good air flow, no indoor stuffiness, and no radiant heat.

But it can also compromise privacy and security, especially in suburban areas like Tweed Heads, Banora Point, and Kingscliff.

Adding a roller door can be the perfect middle ground.

Choose door styles like steel slats or timber panelling – or explore upscale options like a sliding door that integrates with your front fence.

Cantilever Carport Builds

Not every Tweed carport needs 4 supporting posts.

When space or style demands something more streamlined, a cantilever carport can deliver the same level of protection with columns on just one side.

Visually, cantilevers are sleekly modern – ideal for designer homes and architectural aesthetics.

Practically, they’re ideal for cutting down your carport’s footprint and preserving the usability of large, open driveways.

Look no further, these guys are the real deal!

‘Got my back patio done about six months ago.

I was so impressed I got them back for the carport.
Impressive service Luke was very helpful and knowledgeable.

They took care of all the council approvals without any dramas. ( Unlike another company I got a quote from who advised me not to bother with the approvals.)

All questions were promptly answered and Andrea was great to deal with.’

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you need council approval for a carport in Tweed Heads?

Yes, you’ll need to lodge a development application with the Tweed Shire Council to build a carport on your property. If you build with us, we’ll handle your application and any required control variations on your behalf.

How much does it cost to build a carport in Tweed Heads?

The cost of a new carport varies based on whether:

  • you’re using a kit or having one custom-built
  • you need a slab installed
  • you want a single or a double.

Most of our clients spend around $10,000 for custom-built carports, which normally include slab installation, although double carports with specific, high-end materials can cost as much as $20,000. We do offer financing on all builds through Handypay; you can also speak to a broker about a construction loan or accessing equity in your home.

How can you enclose a carport?

An open-air carport is a choice, not a requirement – it’s visually lighter, has better airflow, and doesn’t produce radiant heat during summer. But a partially enclosed carport can be a great idea if you’re concerned about security or uneven UV damage.

The most basic (and popular) enclosure method is to attach your carport to your home, which protects one side of your vehicles from sunlight and rain.

Many of our clients also request a fence-integrated carport, which, in some cases, covers the driveway from the house to the front fence. In those scenarios, the carport remains open on two side with a roller door at the front, adding an additional layer of privacy and security.

Louvred or slatted sides are also popular enclosure options. Both can add extra weather protection and security without compromising the basic benefits of a carport.

What warranties do you offer?

We offer an 6.5-year structural warranty and a 15-year materials warranty on all new builds. Individual parts and materials may have separate manufacturer’s warranties.

Remember: you’re also covered by the Australian Consumer Law, which means we have a legal obligation to deliver your carport with due skill and care (that is, in line with industry best practices and building codes), for the purposes you’ve told us about, and within a reasonable time.

How wide should a double carport be?

Even if you own relatively small vehicles like hatchbacks or sedans, it’s a good idea to build a carport that’s at least 7 metres wide and 6 metres long. Australia’s national fleet is increasingly geared towards SUVs and oversized utes, to the point where regulators are considering changing parking bay sizes for new homes. That means a future property owner will probably drive a large car – so building a bigger carport is a great way to maximise your investment’s value-add.

How does the BCA (NCC) classify residential structures such as sheds, carports and houses?

Houses are Class 1 buildings. Private non-habitable buildings like sheds and carports fall under Class 10a.

Can you build garages in Tweed Heads?

Quality is our cornerstone. To maintain it, we’ve deliberately limited our build range to patios, decks, carports and pergolas. We don’t currently build other structures like garages or sheds.
